Boxee also having a desktop App for watching and searching videos and Boxee also tried to add Hulu content in its desktop app & Hulu has been fighting with Boxee for months. Boxee try to add Hulu videos via Rss but Hulu also blocked that. Hulu is doing this because Hulu's content partners like Fox and NBC didn't like that & they're making lot more money via TV broadcasts instead of on the Internet, so Hulu has to disable Boxee support. But I'm really surprised by this step when Hulu launch its own desktop client today ! ! !

Hulu Desktop beta is designed to let you navigate Hulu from your Desktop comfort, and it works with a mouse and keyboard or a Windows Media Center or Apple remote control. You can use the desktop client to watch video, search for videos & you can browse through media by category. Open source media player and online video aggregator Miro is taking a cue from the highway service and asking patrons to "adopt" a line of code to help pay the bills much the same way as you can "adopt" a stretch of highway.

According to Miro, Miro is facing a very serious budget challenge this year. the foundations that fund non-profit organizations like Miro's have seen their endowments drop dramatically as the stock market has declined.

Here's how it works The 'source code' is what makes Miro run, there are about 46,258 lines of it; if you can take on just one line of this code, It will help to continue growing Miro and building a better, more open media world.

To make this possible, Miro created the all-new and very cute Miro Adoption Center, where you can adopt a line of code for just $4 a month.

When you adopt, you'll get:
an official adoption page, a cute image of your line of code (watch it grow over the year), badges for your blog or website, and your name will be listed in the 'about' box in every copy of Miro (more than 5 million a year and growing)

For US residents, your donation is a 100% tax-deductible donation to Participatory Culture Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization.

At WeboLobby, we always support open source projects and development so we decided to Adopt four lines of codes.
Today Youtube release a new feature called "YouTube Realime". It's an invitation based feature like 5 year back Gmail was. Well We manege to get to test the feature so we can report it for our readers. According to us its a really nice & cool feature from YouTube where user can able to get RealTime notifications from friends more like Friendfeed RealTime feature .

It has a tool bar which we can see near the status bar where one green glowing icon appears which means your active sharing is on and whatever you see or do on YouTube you can able to share it. User can get RealTime notifications from their friends. It's a kind of activity feeds you are getting like what's your friend's doing on YouTube, which friend they just added, what comment hey just post, which video they are seeing and even you can see how many friends are online and you can invites your friends to watch the same soccer video you are watching right now.
