Recently Microsoft Announced that its working on Office 2010 preview release and it's already exited about this, however windows 7 release date is also not sure. & Microsoft again going for brand building process so Groove is getting a new name as of the coming release of Office 2010. Now its SharePoint Workspace 2010
Groove is a part of Office 2007 & it's is a collaboration software program that helps teams work together dynamically and effectively, even if team members work for different organizations, work remotely, or work offline. Working in Groove workspaces saves time, increases productivity, and strengthens the quality of team deliverable. It helps teams and organizations collaborate more effectively.
SharePoint Workspace will provide easy access to SharePoint content or content from any server that implements the publicly documented protocols in an effort to provide a seamless online/offline experience.
SharePoint Workspace 2010 will be easier to deploy and easier to manage, and it supports a new set of scenarios to help Office and SharePoint users be more productive. It will also make it easier for IT folks to implement a consistent information strategy based on SharePoint technology throughout the organization.
This Announcements from Microsoft really not surprising me. This is one of the company whom having a brand & identity crisis. MSN, Hotmail, Windows Live mail, MSN messenger, Windows Live Messenger, MSN search, Live search I already seen all these examples which never ever helped for company growth & by changing the name what goal Microsoft can Archive that only Bill Gates can tell.
Tumblr added a new link on Dashboard labeled Tumblarity. This will take you to your new Activity page where you can see cumulative and trending stats about your activity on Tumblr.
For the past few months they’ve been using an internal metric called “Tumblarity” to sort and filter content on the Search and Popular Content pages. Tumblarity is derived from every blog’s activity and popularity across our network & according to company soon they'll introduce directory which basically work on Tumblarity matrix.
Tumblarity is a great way to find data related to your blog & personally I like (I like the iPhone App too) it a lot. It shows your follower count, posts counts, numbers of likes and reblogs, and the kinds of posts you make. & you'll also get ranking.
Many people come to your website from many different countries that involves millions of people from around the world & not everybody know English. Some speak Mandarin, another in Spanish, and yet another in Russian
As you're browsing through the comments that others have left on your favorite sites & have you ever come across a comment written in a language you don't understand? at that time it's hard to read them all in the same language.you can click an option to read them all in the same language so to solve this problem today Google introducing a new feature for the Google Friend Connect comments gadget that will help to address this problem: translations.
Now, if you see a comment in a foreign language, click on "Translate" in the lower left corner of the gadget and select your language. All comments that aren't written in your language of choice will be translated and highlighted in yellow. If you want to revert back to the original text, simply select "No Translation" from the same menu. Google is using Translate API for translation.
Friend Connect users who already have the tool installed on their blogs or sites do not have to upgrade; Google is pushing out the new features with the same bit of code.
