As you know, if you use Gmail chat you'll see status indicator with green, orange, and red bubbles which indicates if your friends are online, offline or busy.
Now Gmail adds up a new feature with it. From now on, it will also show you Green Robot. It's a new experiment in Gmail Labs, and you'll see a robot icon next to people who are currently using Android phones.

So seeing a green robot means your friend available for chat via Android, Seeing a orange robot means your friend is online via Android but currently away. and if you see a red robot, that's not an angry robot, it's just your friend is online with Android but currently busy. So now you know who is online from their Android devices on Gmail chat.
When your chat buddies log into regular Gmail, their presence icons will revert to the traditional red, green, and orange status bubbles.
These icons can help you decide whether to tailor your conversation to the type of device that your chat buddy is using. For example, when you know the guy on the other end is using his Android phone, you may decide to send shorter, more concise chat messages.
This new feature is limited to Android devices only so if your friend is using chat via BlackBerry, iPhone, Pre or any other mobile devices then it will not show the robot icon but will show the regular glowing bubbles. Addition to that if your chat buddy logged into both Regular Gmail chat and Android chat then also the regular glowing bubbles will be shown.
To get started just logon to your Gmail go to Settings > Labs > and browse or search for green robot!
Well, I'm not talking about the search Box you all see in Gmail. A really nice feature that i always wanted from Gmail. As you people know that Gmail is a Search based email and when you need to search anything from a product to a client's important email at that time we have to leave the Gmail interface and it was very distracted.

With the new Google Search experiment in Gmail Labs When you turn this feature on from the
Labs tab under Settings, you'll see a new search box on the left side of your inbox, like this:
Type your search in, and a window similar like a chat window that appears in Gmail, It will Displays Google search results inside your mail window, letting you quickly find things and use them when you're writing an email. but a bit bigger which appears at the bottom of your screen with the first few search results.
When you click on a search result and it'll open up in another window or another tab & you can make sure it's what you're looking for. You can also Pop Out the result which will also open in new window or tab. Once you're sure it's a result you need, moving your mouse over the result back in Gmail reveals a pull-down menu that lets you do stuff with the search result. According to your activity menu will appear like this:

Google search within the Gmail like a chat window
- When you're reading an email, at that time if you search you can Reply that email with the search result.
- When you're composing an email, you can paste the result or just past the URL into your email or send entire result by email
- If you're chatting with someone, you can send the Search result via chat.
- You can also always compose a new email to send the search result.
Whatever you search from that Sidebar. it will show you the keyword history, Of course you can clear the history just by a click says "clear"
This feature is not working for searching emails within your Inbox. It would be nice if we can search emails also via this search box.
"
Inserting images"
New Lab Feature from Gmail, which enables user to insert images into the email. To get the job done first of all user need to enable this feature from Lab tab. After that go to compose email. Make sure you're in rich formatting mode, or it won't show up. Click the little image icon, now you can able to insert images in two ways:

Display images below" or "Always display images from ..." to see images you embed.

There's a new feature in Gmail Labs called "
Sender Time Zone" that can help. Turn it on from the
Labs tab under Settings, and you'll see green phone icons next to people who are probably awake and readily reachable. The default time is 9:00 am and 6:00 pm in the sender's local time zone and if you see red phone icon next to those who could be sleeping or out of the office:
