PostBox which built on smiler technology of Thunderbird is release a new updated beta 12. In addition to performance and stability enhancements. This release introduces several new features that make searching even easier. It also incorporated Mozilla Firefox 3.0.10 security updates


  • Search by Location - You can now set your search location within the pop-down menu that appears when you enter a search term. You can choose to search within your current folder, or search everywhere across all accounts.
  • Search History - Suggestions from your search history appear as you type, similar to the web history that displays in your browser’s URL bar.
  • Search by Sender - Information about the sender of a message is now summarized in the Inspector Pane, along with convenient ways to search for messages, attachments, images and links from each sender. This is the same feature recently Google rolled out in Gmail Labs
New features include search suggestions when you're typing and smoother integration of folder search with global search. Switching between the two is now marginally simpler. The inspector pane on the right side of a message has been tweaked, as well. Sender details, image thumbnails and dimensions, and the revamped search options for messages, images, links, and attachments have been rolled into the pane. It also provide better support for Mac address books groups
