As we just posted that Google also come up with a search box which allow users to send tweet. Yahoo also rolled out a desktop application called Sideline, powered by Adobe Air which is built with the Yahoo! User Interface Library (YUI). It allows users to create and group custom queries by topics of interest.

It's not a full featured client that allow you to send tweet, short urls, post images. It just perform twitter search. it's a dedicated application for twitter search where you can see twitter trending topics and open dedicated tab for each search. user can mix up different different search in to one single search, in simple words this app allow to groping search. What I like about sideline is to having a ability to create a unique search terms via the advance mode where user can define the search keywords, see the screenshot below.

Sideline is an open source application released under the BSD license. This is the first beta release is out and the code is hosted on github. to run this application you should have adobe air installed to run this app.
