When people follows you on Twitter you will get notifications via email in plain text which contains only link of that follower's profile. This is since the site started but now twitter switch to richer, HTML version of their follower notification emails & DM.

Twitter also including more information in the email notification such as Followers counts, Update Counts & Following counts . This is a very good step from Twitter but there should be more need to be add. Information like Bio, Location, Link etc

But third party developers like Topify is already providing much batter solution for this where you can get all the information like bio, location, twitter joining date, and counts & latest twits in email only with reach HTML format. User also able to Reply, Follow, Unfollow, Block other twitter user via the email only.
