The New York Times launched a new version of its Times Reader desktop application, Time Reader 2.0. It's a desktop application for reading the New York Times without a web browser. latest version of Times Reader provides a pretty good interface for reading the news in paper style. TimesReader 2.0 also built on Adobe AIR, which mean that it runs well on Windows, Mac, and Linux computers.

Full access to the application is only available to those who subscribe to the printed version of the Times, or to users who subscribe to Times Reader itself for $14.95 per month. You can still access some free articles like the New York Times front page, the business section, and the most emailed articles from the Times & you can access New York Times crossword puzzle.

In the Sunday Edition, content from the Magazine is available for free, but the Sunday Business section will bot be free.
