After Twitter success many new services come up the surface like Pawnce, Plurk, Rejaw & some Open slandered services like Identi.ca and Laconi.ca for Twitter alternative. Pawnce Shutdown their operations on December 15, 2008 and become part of Six Apart. Jaiku also acquired by Google all were trying to take the market shear of micro blogging space but off course twitter having the biggest share and large enough audience.It is running stable right now. Twitter is looking for the earning model and others too, But sadly today Rejaw announced that it will be shutting down on May 31, 2009

Rejaw has stopped accepting new sign-ups effective immediately. From now until May 15th, you can continue to send new shouts, whispers, and replies & users can request export of their private user data at http://rejaw.com/account/export On May 16th, an email with export data download instructions will be sent to users who requested it, and you will have until May 31st to download your exported data as an XML file.

Rejaw, for example, tried out a lot of interesting features like real-time messaging which is a main focus for other social Networking companies like Twitter, Facebook & other hand FriendFeed & YouTube already having their Real Time versions.
