Starting today, signing up for YouTube means signing up for a Google Account that gives you access to YouTube, as well as other Google services such as iGoogle, Reader and Docs and many more. If you already have a Google Account, you can choose to link your new YouTube Account to it, which means one less password to remember.

Till now people can link their YouTube Account with Google but a person who open only a YouTube Account was not able to access other Google Services but from Now on it's possible.

You can still sign up for YouTube with any email address and you'll still need to confirm whatever email address you enter. You'll also still pick a unique YouTube username that identifies you to the YouTube community

  1. Sign in with your Google Account email and password here.
  2. You'll be directed to the YouTube signup page with your email address pre-populated.
  3. Choose a YouTube username and complete the sign up.
If you have a Gmail Account, It means you already have a Google Account & Once you have a Google account, your YouTube password will match your Google Account password.

According to Company"By jointly connecting accounts, user can take greater advantage of our services both on YouTube and on Google, especially as we start to roll out new features in the future that will be powered by Google technology".

For those who already have a YouTube Account, they'll still be able to enjoy YouTube with just a YouTube Account. But some of the new features Google roll out down the road may require a Google Account. It is advisable that you migrate your YouTube Account to a Google Account.

This is a good step by Google but still people, who are using Google Apps & Google Account, At this moment they have to manage two accounts. May be in future Google allow to merge Google Account with Google Apps.
