There’s lot of twitter clients available but few are giving the total flexibility and productivity. Great clients like TweetDeck, Alert Thingy, Twhirl are there. Tweeter Deck is a good choice but I don’t think it’s essential for me which consumes lot of memory. Twhirl was my choice which was giving flexibility to set up multiple account and has a ability to Integrate many social accounts like Seesmic, FrendFeed, laconi.ca Later on Facebook integration also come up with a stand alone client from Seesmic which was basically do status updates for Facebook.
Now Seesmic come up with new sliky & silky mac style look client called "Seesmic Desktop" It is also the desktop Twitter client. It is built by Adobe AIR, so it should be run on PC or Mac. Althought it’s a preview version, it provides cool functionality like multiple accounts, userlist which works likes Groups, integration with many short url services including Digg, displays notifications. You can do much more with it like monitor Twitter search. You can read the tweets in one single column or multiple. When posting links, you can choose different short URLs. Share images via TwitPic & it's the only app which lets you use your Webcam to post snapshots for upload to Twitter via TwitPic directly.
It's a preview so there is much more space for improvement. As I'm writing many new ideas are cumming via the team Seesmic Community Hub. In previous version of Twihirl you can able to record a video on Seesmic. Many things are missing like FreiendFeed & Seesmic integration, spell checker, Facebook Integration is not included yet but we are hoping that it will come soon as Loic promised and I think he kept it much more.
So Seesmic Desktop is Better than TweetDeck? ( New version from TweetDeck is also available ) Not sure, but it definitely makes me want to use desktop clients instead of Twitter.com. What do u think about this new App? Share your views and comments into the Comment Box.
